| Objectives To assess the clinical effect of moxa-salt hot compress and acupoint massage in treating patients with constipation caused by maintenance hemodialysis. Methods 100 patients with constipation caused by maintenance hemodialysis were selected and randomized assigned intointervention group(n=50) and control group(n=50) from January 2017 to December 2018. Patients in control group received routine therapy, and in intervention group received moxa-salt hot compress and acupoint massage in addition.The efficiency rate and adverse reaction rate were noted to assess the application value of moxa-salt hot compress and acupoint massage. Results All patients finished with the trial. The cure rate and effective rate in intervention group was 74.00% and 98.00%, which was signigicantly better than in control group(36.00% and 80.00%). The incidence of adverse reactions was 0.00% in intervention group and 4.00% in control group, the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant. Conclusions Moxa-salt hot compress combined acupoint massage therapy can significantly improve the constipation of maintenance hemodialysis patients, improve the quality of life, and is safe and reliable, which is worthy of clinical application. |
