Objective To observe the effect of acupoint embedding therapy on the balance ability of patients with osteopenia. Methods Sixty-two patients with osteopenia were divided into 31 acupoint embedding group (basic treatment acupoint embedding) and 31 control group (basic treatment). One week of embedding treatment was performed once, six times and one course of treatment, and two courses were separated by two weeks. The two groups were treated for 6 months. Before and after treatment, the Berg Balance Scale (BBS) score, gait and obstacle avoidance ability test were performed. The BBS scores before and after treatment were observed. The support phase, swing phase, step size, pace, step width, stride frequency, and obstacle avoidance success rate were observed. The motion characteristic parameters are changed. Results (1) Compared with BBS, the BBS12 of both groups increased (P<0.05), and the total score of BBS in the acupoint embedding group was also higher than that before treatment (P<0.05). (2) Comparison of gait and obstacle avoidance ability, acupoint burying The stride length, left step length and right step length of the line group were higher than those before treatment (P<0.05), while the success rate of low difficulty obstacle avoidance in the control group was lower than that before treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion Acupoint embedding can improve the motor function of patients with reduced bone mass and improve the balance of patients.
